Now, for my blog destination: South Padre Island, Texas!

I’m lucky enough to live right down the road from a gorgeous Island– South Padre Island, Texas. It’s also one of the settings for my novel, Moonlight on the Palms. If you like warm tan sand, a balmy breeze that whips up every day around 4pm and cools things off, warm water, and plenty of beach space, this is your escape!

    Your webpage banner is amazing. I used to talk to a gentleman from Texas on the phone for work (Canada here). He'd tell me a joke, and I wouldn't get it half the time because I didn't always understand his accent. He'd get such a kick out of that, I think he did it on purpose just to laugh at me not getting the joke. Met him in person once, he was a great guy.

    As a girl, I spent many vacations camped on Padre Island or a little north at Aransas Pass — long before they became chic. The whole South Texas coast is still lovely. Thank you for taking me back there. I've added Moonlight on the Palms to my TBR list.

    Looks neat! I'm not a warm weather guy (and don't mind winters in Michigan or the summers among the Great Lakes), but, every once in a while, I dream I'd retire to a hut on a beach along the Gulf of Mexico, with a forever-full refrigerator of ice-cold oat soda, and, of course, 10 gallons of sunscreen for my pink skin…Noah B.
