Keiko Maguchi, a graduate student in the U.S., is settling into life in the States after leaving Japan.

When her fiance Yoshi is killed in the Great Earthquake in Japan in March of 2011, Keiko is devastated. Can Bastian Tower, rumored playboy and a fellow graduate student with a terrible limp and past pain, help her find love again, or are they too damaged to be together?
